Morph Cloud vs Agent 37
Morph Cloud gives every agent a full VM that you can snapshot and branch with its memory into many copies. Agent 37 starts each agent in a lighter gVisor sandbox with the agent already installed, which sleeps when idle and costs much less per hour.
The companies and products
Morph Cloud
Morph Cloud sells full virtual machines for AI agents that can be snapshotted, branched and restored with their memory, which it calls Infinibranch.
You get MorphVM instances as low-level building blocks and Devboxes as ready workspaces on top of them, with SSH, preview URLs and a tmux API for running coding agents you install yourself. Everything is billed in MCUs, where one MCU is 1 vCPU, 4 GB of RAM or 16 GB of disk for an hour. It is built for teams that fan agents out from one saved state, and it also sells managed GitHub Actions runners and a shared filesystem.

Agent 37
Agent 37 hosts AI agents, one isolated, always-on sandbox per user, behind one API.
You create an instance from a template (Hermes, OpenClaw, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, Grok or your own Docker image) and talk to it through a chat API, files, exec, SSH and HTTPS URLs. The default instance is a container enforced by gVisor; a VM type gives a full Linux machine with its own kernel for Docker, Kubernetes and Android emulators. It is built for companies that give each of their customers an agent.

Which use cases each one fits
For each use case, Battleships prices every sandbox provider on the same workload and sorts them from the cheapest monthly bill up. “16th cheapest of 345” means 15 of the other 344 providers run that workload, with every feature it needs, for less. “With limits” means the provider runs it but misses something, so it is listed after every full match. Open a use case for its whole ranking and what each provider misses.

Performance
There is no comparable CPU measurement for Morph Cloud or Agent 37: neither is in the hpc-sandbox-benchmarks run. bochka did 26.69 runs per second on that Node.js build-and-test loop at 4 vCPU / 8 GB, on dedicated AMD Ryzen 9 9950X hosts. Agent 37 says its default instances share host resources and sells a Performance type on dedicated cores, and Morph's under 250 ms figure measures snapshot restore, not CPU speed.
Node.js build-and-test loop at 4 vCPU / 8 GB, higher is better. Measured with the open hpc-sandbox-benchmarks suite. Morph Cloud and Agent 37 have no published run in this suite yet, so there is no like-for-like number to compare.
Pricing in five scenarios
Each bill is priced from the providers' public price lists by the open Battleships engine, with the cheapest plan that runs the scenario.
| Scenario | Morph Cloud, a month | Agent 37, a month | bochka, a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| One coding agent, workdays 4 vCPU / 8 GB, 50 GB disk, 8 hours a day, 22 days a month, files kept between days | $32 · Developer | $6 · Wallet (any top-up) | $20 · $20/mo |
| One agent that never stops 4 vCPU / 8 GB, 50 GB disk, running 24/7 all month | $121 · Team | $12 · Wallet (any top-up) | $26 · $20/mo |
| 50 agents in parallel 50 machines of 4 vCPU / 8 GB at once, 8-hour sessions, 1,100 sessions a month, Docker inside | $1,459 · Scale | $329 · Wallet ($100 lifetime top-ups) | $317 · $20/mo × 3 seats |
| Sandboxes for your users 2 vCPU / 4 GB, 30,000 sessions of 10 minutes a month, up to 300 at once | $325 · Scale | $33 · Wallet ($250 lifetime top-ups) · with limits | $200 · $100/mo × 2 seats |
| 1,000 short jobs at once 2 vCPU / 4 GB, 1,000 at once, 3 minutes each, 200,000 jobs a month | $869 · Scale | $73 · Wallet ($250 lifetime top-ups) · with limits | $2,000 · $2000/mo · with limits |
Morph Cloud: Morph bills MCUs at $0.05 each: per hour, a machine uses the largest of its vCPUs, its RAM in 4 GiB steps or its disk in 16 GiB steps. Team ($40 a month) and Scale ($250 a month) are prepaid MCU bundles at a discount, and a paused VM bills only its snapshot storage.
Agent 37: Agent 37 uses a prepaid wallet with no plan fee, metered per minute: $0.80 per vCPU and $0.70 per GB of RAM per month while running, and $0.09 per GB of disk per month even while asleep. Performance compute costs 4x and VM compute 2.5x the default rate.
Agent 37: Plans start at $20 a month, and the whole fee is usage credit. You pay per second while a sandbox runs, and a stopped sandbox costs nothing and keeps its disk.
Limits in those scenarios
Agent 37 caps an account at 200 instances on its top self-serve tier, and the cap counts sleeping and stopped ones, so it does not fit 300 user sandboxes at once or 1,000 short jobs at once. Its 50-agents scenario needs Docker, so it is priced on the VM type at 2.5x compute. Morph's limits are account-wide resource pools: the Developer pool of 64 vCPU holds only 16 machines at 4 vCPU, and more than 16 GiB of disk per vCPU raises the bill. Neither publishes egress prices; Morph Scale fits the 1,000-job burst, while bochka's plans queue those starts.

Which one should you use?
Use Morph Cloud when
your agents branch from one running state with its memory, need Docker and a full VM on every machine, or need experimental Windows and macOS guests.
- Branch a running VM with its memory. For agents that fan out from one running state: Morph copies a live VM with its memory into many branches in under 250 ms.
- A full VM on every machine. Every Morph instance is a full VM with root, systemd, Docker and local Kubernetes, with no separate instance type to pay more for.
- More guest systems and managed CI. Morph lists experimental Windows and macOS (x86) guests, and sells managed GitHub Actions runners from the same MCU balance.
Use Agent 37 when
you host one mostly idle assistant per customer in the US, want the agent preinstalled behind a chat API, and care most about a low bill.
- Agents ready on day one. Agent 37 starts instances from templates like Hermes, OpenClaw, Claude Code or Codex, and you talk to each through a chat API.
- Sleeps on its own and keeps its memory. For assistants that sit idle most of the day: an instance sleeps after a quiet period, keeps its memory and wakes on the next message.
- A much smaller bill. Agent 37 meters per minute from a prepaid wallet; one coding agent on workdays comes to $6 a month here, against $32 on Morph.
Where bochka fits
Look at bochka if your agents do hours of real work: installs, builds, Docker and emulators, plus a desktop and outside APIs. Morph gives you a strong VM but leaves the agent, browser and key handling to you, and Agent 37 has the agents but runs them in a lighter sandbox by default.
A full VM with Docker, systemd and /dev/kvm by default
On Agent 37's default type Docker cannot run at all, and its VM type costs 2.5 times as much with no init system. Morph has Docker, but lists nested virtualization as experimental, so Android emulators are a gamble.
Real keys stay outside, for any API
Morph's proxy covers model APIs only, and Agent 37's covers its own managed models, search and Composio. Keys for GitHub, Stripe or your own APIs sit inside a machine the agent controls, where one prompt injection can leak them.
A desktop and a browser, ready to use
A computer use agent on Morph starts with you installing the browser and wiring up the agent; on Agent 37 you build a noVNC desktop template first. bochka streams a 60fps desktop with Chromium and a computer use API in every sandbox.
Use bochka when your agents do real work for hours on a full VM with Docker, systemd and /dev/kvm, need a 60fps desktop with Chromium, keys kept outside for any API, and hosting on many ports in the EU. Compare it one to one: bochka vs Morph Cloud and bochka vs Agent 37.
Questions people ask
Is Morph Cloud cheaper than Agent 37?
No. Agent 37 costs less in every scenario on this page, for example $12 against $121 on Morph for one agent that never stops, and $329 against $1,459 on Morph for 50 agents in parallel. But Agent 37's 200-instance cap means it does not fit 300 user sandboxes or 1,000 jobs at once, where Morph does.
Which is faster, Morph Cloud or Agent 37?
There is no comparable CPU measurement for either one. bochka did 26.69 runs per second on the hpc-sandbox-benchmarks Node.js loop at 4 vCPU / 8 GB. Agent 37 sells a Performance type on dedicated cores if you need steady speed.
Can Agent 37 run Docker like Morph Cloud?
Only on its VM type, which bills compute at 2.5x the default rate; the default gVisor type cannot run a Docker daemon. Every Morph instance is a full VM with Docker, Docker in Docker and local Kubernetes. On bochka, Docker works in every sandbox.
Can both keep an agent's memory while it sleeps?
Yes. Morph pauses a VM with its memory and wakes it on the next HTTP request, SSH or exec call. Agent 37 checkpoints memory on auto-sleep and resumes processes when the restore works. Only Morph can also branch that running state into many copies.
Which one comes with coding agents installed?
Agent 37 starts instances from templates such as Hermes, OpenClaw, Claude Code and Codex, with a chat API per instance. On Morph you install the agent and drive it through a tmux API that sends keystrokes. bochka preinstalls seven agents with a prompt, steer and events API.
Where do Morph Cloud and Agent 37 run?
Agent 37 runs on dedicated servers in the United States. Morph does not publish its regions. bochka runs only in the EU, in Germany, Finland and France.
